We're so close to the end of 2021. Let's do what we need to do to ensure we all get a solid winter break! Remember to manage your time so that you can take care of all of your obligations - including school and Y&G. Don't forget to make sure that you have saved the dates for our remaining conferences on January 29 and Feb 26-27. Make sure to ask for those days off of work (meeting days and times, too!)
- At the next meeting on December 9: We'll wrap up draft bills and fact sheets (right, Firms?) and preview the remainder of the program year.
- Due this week: Draft Bills & Legislative Fact Sheets - required from Firms, optional from Legislators
- OVERDUE: Legislator and Firm Platforms via the Google Classroom
NEW BUSINESS
Working time during this week's meeting: Bring a laptop or tablet (if you have one), notebook, and pen this week. We'll spend some time working on bills.
Delegate-Led Caucuses: Y&G has special delegate-led groups called Caucuses that focus on a variety of interests. These are 100% Delegate created and delegate led. If you'd like to learn more about Caucuses or sign up to attend meetings (via zoom) click here.
Be an Informed Voter: Y&G Statewide Candidate information is available on the Public Roster. Take time to learn about the delegates running for office. You can find info on the Public Roster>Roster Tab>Candidates for Elected Office view.
Appointed Leadership Interviews: If you applied for an appointed leadership position, make sure to look up your interview time. All interviews are this Sunday, December 12. View times on the Public Roster>Roster Tab>Appointed Leadership Interview Times
Media Assignments and Policy Areas: All Media delegates have been assigned to a sub-program area (journalism or communications) and a policy topic. This information is visible on the Public Roster>Roster Tab>All Media view. Delegates who submitted their preferences received their first-choice sub-program area and their first or second choice policy topic. All others were randomly assigned.
Analyst Policy Areas: All Analysts delegates have been assigned to a policy area. This information is visible on the Public Roster>Roster Tab>All Analysts view. Delegates who submitted their preferences received their first-choice policy topic. All others were randomly assigned.
