2.) MANDATORY meeting next week - Feb 4
Our
pre-conference planning meeting is next Wednesday, Feb 4 at 6pm at the
Y. Delegates are required to attend. Parents are encouraged to attend.
3.) Sac Attire
Attached
is a slideshow about Sac Attire. If you have any questions about the
dress code, bring them to next week's meeting (along with any clothing
articles you're not sure about).
4.) Spring Conference
Loved
your Y&G experience so far? Want to get one more conference in
before graduation? Want to introduce friends to delegate life? Spring
Conference, April 10-12, is for you! It's like a mini-Sac Conference,
but with no dress code, camping, and a water slide. It's the best.
Attached is the SpringCon registration packet.
If you are a
returning delegate and you wish to attend you MUST bring back your
completed registration materials and a $25 non-refundable deposit to
next week's meeting to reserve your spot (space is limited).
The total program fees for Spring Conference are $200. That does not include train fare for travel between Sacramento and Corcoran (expected to be between $60-$80)
Extended
payment plan options are available. Limited Y-Assist funds are
available. If you applied for Y-Assist support for this past program
year, your application will roll over to this event.
New delegates must submit deposits, Y-Assist Applications, and Registration packets by March 4.
5.) YMCA Annual Support CampaignEach
year, the YMCA's Y-Assist fund supports community access to programs
like Youth & Government, swim lessons, childcare, youth sports,
summer camp, and more. Every February, YMCAs across the country hold
their annual support campaigns to raise money to ensure no one is turned
away from our programs due to financial concerns. Whether or not you
personally received a Y-Assist award, we all benefit from the participation of each member of our delegation.
And
so, to give back, we'll be having an Annual Support Campaign Call Night
on Wednesday, February 25, 2015, at the YMCA. This is a mandatory event
for all delegates. It's a fun and easy and requires just a couple of
hours of your time. Mark your calendars!
