A big warm thank you! to everyone who volunteered at the CIM this past Sunday! It takes a special kind of person to wake up at dawn in freezing temperatures to volunteer their time to help other people. Well done and I hope you enjoyed it!

1.) Payment Reminder: The fourth and final program payment for the year is due by December 14. Payments can be made online here (online payment instructions found here) or over the phone by calling the YMCA Front Desk at 916-452-9622 ext 0. Checks are payable to "Sacramento Central YMCA."

2.) Program Areas and Role Selection: We will be having our annual program area draft on this week on Thursday, Dec 6th.  Here's what you need to know about that process:
  • Here's a link to a list and description of all program areas
  • Here's a link to all elected and appointed leadership opportunities (more on that below).
  • You need to know how many points you have, check the link here and let me know if you think you are missing any points.
  • The Lead Advisor also reserves the right to match you with a program area in which we know you'll be most successful.
  • If you cannot attend, you can have a delegate or advisor pick on your behalf. Please send me an email with your top five picks in order or letting me know which delegate will pick on your behalf.
  • Once everyone has selected their program areas, there will be an opportunity to trade with other El Dorado delegates. You and the other delegate must both let me know that you would like to switch in order for me to make it happen. We will do this at the end of the meeting.
If you have questions on this, let me know.

3.) Room Assignments for T&E 2: We will be re-selecting room assignments for T&E 2 this week. We have had a number of drops since T&E 1 and everyone will need to re-do their rooms. If you like your group of 4 from T&E1 you can keep your same room. I will pass around pieces of paper and you will need to form groups of 4 and then submit the papers to me. NO GROUPS OF THREE. We need four delegates to a room.

Even if you are keeping your same room, you will need to do this. If you are going to be absent this week, make sure a friend adds your name to a room. All room assignments are subject to the Lead Advisors approval, and reserves the right to change your rooms, if necessary. This is your last opportunity to change roommates.

4.) Leadership and Applied Programs: Applications for elected office, appointed positions, and appointed program areas are now available in your Reggo account. You must complete all leadership and applied program applications by December 6 (however, you should apply now). Once you have completed an application, let me know so that I can approve it for you.

Most leadership positions require you to be placed into that program area so we will also need to make sure there is space for you there. Also, for most leadership positions, if you are not selected/elected for your desired position, you will still serve in that program area. Here is a reminder on how to access your applications (click to enlarge):

REMINDERS:

Conference Attendance: We have two remaining conferences this year. Please review our conference attendance policy:
  • For T&EII (Jan 19-21): Partial attendance is not permitted except in extraordinary circumstances. Regular season sport events, meets, regular season academic club meets, finals, school projects, etc, are not extraordinary circumstances. You are expected to travel to the conference with the delegation, attend the entire conference, and travel home again with the delegation.
  • For ML/C ("Sac Conference," Feb 14-18): Partial attendance is not permitted
Your advisor team is managing the safety of 140 people, coalition wide. It makes things more complicated for us and potentially less safe for you if we need to manage different travel schedules for different delegates.

Check the website first: In addition to our bulletin, a lot of valuable information can be found at our website. Here, you'll find all past bulletinsdelegation information, a program calendar, and a link to our forms and downloads folder. Remember to check the site first - chances are you'll find answers to most of your questions.

As always, thank you for reading and I will see you on Thursday!
