El Dorado Youth and Government Delegation Bulletin #1

Be your own artist, and always be confident in what you're doing. If you're not going to be confident, you might as well not be doing it."
-Aretha Franklin

Have you registered online and printed your paper registration forms out? Due by this Thursday!

1.) The Three Steps to Registration: Make sure that you are fully registered for our delegation for this year. All three of these steps need to be completed by this Thursday. Below are three steps that must all be completed for you to secure your spot:

Where: Sacrament Central YMCA (2021 W Street, Sacramento, CA 95818)

4.) Folsom Lake Cleanup:
It's time to sign up for our first delegation volunteer event of the year! This is part of what El Dorado Delegation does to achieve Delegation of Distinction status so it is important to sign up and show up. And yes, this event will be worth points.

In previous years, we have participated at clean-up events in West Sacramento, however, this year, we are participating in an event closer to home. There are two locations to choose from and space is going fast!

What: Folsom Lake Clean Up
When: Saturday, September 15, 2018 9:00am - 12:00pm
Where: Folsom Point or Beal's Point

There are two locations to choose from. The instructions to sign up for each are the same (see attached image).
Step one: click one of the links (for Folsom Point or Beal's Point)
Step two: click one of the available volunteer spots (they are all the same, just select one) and then scroll down and click "select"
Step three:  On the next page, click "under 18 years old" and enter your information. Choose "yes" for "signing up as part of a group" and select "Sacramento YMCA Y&G" from the drop down) (see the picture)
Step four: make sure to enter a valid email address for your parent/guardian. Click "submit"
Step five: MOST IMPORTANT: make sure that your parent/guardian checks their email and clicks through to the release language to confirm your spot. IF YOU DO NOT DO THIS, YOU WILL NOT BE SIGNED UP!

As always, thank you for reading and I will see you on Thursday!
