Sac Central Delegation Bulletin #12: Last tasks for 2020

 As we transition into a well-earned winter break, your advisors want to thank you all for your dedication to Y&G so far this year. Thanks for hanging in there as we navigate these crazy times. Your willingness to take a chance on a new program in a weird format at a stressful time is very much appreciated! We hope you have a wonderful holiday, restful winter break. Stay safe, stay home, mask up, wash those hands, and we'll see you on January 6. 

Meeting Schedule:

• No meetings for the next 2 weeks (Dec 23, 30)
• Meetings return January 6 (Mandatory Pre-Conference Meeting)
  
• Conference 3 is Sunday, January 10! (Plan for it when it comes to schoolwork and finals!)

Leadership Applications Due TODAY - Friday 12/18:

Court leadership, Governor 2, Secretary of State 2, and Assembly Speaker leadership applications are due Friday by 11:59pm. If you're interested in applying or running for something, be prepared to let us know at the meeting tomorrow. Apps here: bit.ly/norcalleader20    No one is running for SoS 2 right now. Court leadership needs applicants, too!

Post-Conference 2/Pre-Conference 3 Tasks:

Take a moment to review this document - and bookmark it- which provides conference wrap up information and tasks to accomplish before January 10. We've done our best to keep tasks to an absolute minimum so you can enjoy a well-earned Winter Break. But there is some stuff to do. We'll review in detail at our meeting. 

• Legislators: Here is your group district profile doc (see email for link). Email me when you've finished it and we'll get it submitted. You're almost done. Use groupme or convene a group call on Slack to wrap it up! 
• Advocates: The Advocacy Program folks are having office hours this Sunday, 12/20 from 2-4pm if you want to drop in to ask questions or get help on your Legislative Fact Sheets. Watch for an email with that zoom link later today. 
• Remember, your 2 fact sheets are due by Jan 6. Only the Firm Principal needs to join the Firm Principal Google Classroom and submit your fact sheets.

Conference Attendance Reminder: We expect all delegates to attend all of each of our conferences. If you cannot attend all or part of a conference, you need to let Trisha and me know in advance. Remember: one of the many skills Y&G hopes you'll learn is time management. You know when our meetings and conferences are, and you know when you have finals or other events. Plan accordingly. Conflicts happen. But you have to let us know if you can't make it. That's one way we live our Y value of responsibility (for the things we need to accomplish or attend) and respect (for the time others spend working on conference plans and those who depend on your attendance to complete their tasks).
