Y&G El Dorado Delegation Bulletin #2: Service, Learning, Leadership!

Here's what you need to know this week:

Community Service and Fundraising Sign-Ups: 
We have 3 - count 'em 3! - community service opportunities in September and October and one fundraising opportunity (so far!).

We'd love another 10 or so volunteers for this Saturday's Delta Clean Up event, if possible.

Payment Deadline:September 15 is a $300 payment deadline. Please bring a check payable to "Sacramento Central YMCA" with your name in the memo line or make a payment online at www.ymcasuperiorcal.org/y&gpayment

If you submitted a completed Y-Assist application, no payment is due at this time. You will be notified of any Y-Assist award and a new payment deadline.

As ever, if payment amounts or timing present problems, please talk with your advisor ASAP.

This week's meeting:
We'll be discussing the conference registration process, elected and appointed leadership processes, and family groups.


Capitol Coalition Field Day RSVP:Baby Bob's latest incarnation (if you're new, don't worry, we'll explain at the next meeting. Join us on October 2 for a day at the park with delegates from the El Dorado and Sacramento Central delegations. Location is TBD, but it will take place in El Dorado Hills this year, Sunday, October 2, from 10am to 4pm.

Second Round Registration:
Do you know someone who wants to join our delegation? Here is the information for the second-round of delegation registration for new delegates or delegates who failed to complete returner-priority registration:

Second Round Registration will be open from 9am on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 through 12 noon on Friday, September 16, 2016. PLEASE TAKE NOTE OF THE THREE STEP REGISTRATION PROCESS. 

1.) Prospective delegates will need to complete this form:http://bit.ly/ElDoSecondRoundReg
Note: if the prospective delegate completed the prior registration form, they MUST COMPLETE THIS FORM. The prior form was not for new delegate registration.
2.) The initial deposit of $100 is due at time of registration by paying online atwww.ymcasuperiorcal.org/y&gpayment 

If the deposit presents a financial hardship, please indicate on the form, below, and you will be provided with a Y-Assist application. The Y-Assist Application and supporting documentation must be scanned and emailed to Dylan (dotarrow@ymcasuperiorcal.org) by 11:59pm on September 20, or delivered to the YMCA by 8pm on September 20 in person (2021 W Street, Sacramento). 

3.) The delegate and parent/guardian will also have an additional packet of documents to sign and return. This packet will be emailed to you after you complete the online registration form.  All completed registration packets must be returned by the September 22, 2016 meeting, or delegate will not be enrolled and space will be given to the next in line.

SECOND ROUND REGISTRATION POLICY:

The delegation has room for approximately 20-25 additional delegates for the upcoming program year. Enrollment priority is as follows:
1.) New Registrants in the 9th and 10th Grade based on time stamp of online registration, and if space is left then to
2.) New Registrants in the 11th Grade based on time stamp of online registration, and if space is left then to
3.) Returning Registrants in the 10-12the Grades based on time stamp of online registration

Prospective delegates should ensure you can attend ALL conferences and most meetings before registering.
