Y&G Sac Central Bulletin #18: Mandatory Meeting + Conference This Week!

Big week! Read this carefully - there are some items of interest for particular delegates and lots of items of interest for everyone!

1.) Training & Elections Conference II: Back to Fresno: Our next conference is Saturday, January 13-Monday, January 15. Our mandatory preconference meeting will be held this Wednesday, January 10.

You'll need to be at the YMCA at 9:45am on Saturday, January 13. We expect to return about 3pm on Monday, January 15). We'll be staying at the Wyndham Hotel again. You should again plan on bringing a sack lunch for the trip there.

1a.) Wake Up Groupme And Remind! Make sure that you are receiving GroupMe notifications and Remind messages. We'll use both methods of communication at conference. As a reminder: you don't need to download either app (to me, remind is actually easier via SMS), but you can! GroupMe is much handier as an app. Both are free and supported by all phone types.

2.) Conference Schedule Available For Review: Take a moment to look over the schedule for this conference. This time, you'll be in your program areas instead of random groups. No session is optional! If you think you don't have a session, you probably missed it on the schedule.

3.) NIC Draft Proposal Due This Week (Aaron): Don't forget, you'll need 20 copies of your NIC proposal when you board the bus on Saturday. We can have copies for you if you request them. Drafts should be uploaded here. The proposal handbook can be found here. 

4.) Candidate Financial Disclosure Forms Due Saturday (Natalie & Brenna Leigh): Candidates should review campaign rules here. You must bring your completed financial disclosure form with you on Saturday and get my signature. I won't remember to remind you - you need to remind me! If you need the form printed, let me know by Wednesday at noon. The form is required even if you have nothing to disclose!!!!!!

5.) Party Chair Applications Available in Reggo: Want to lead one of the 6 political parties next year? Apply in Reggo today! Applications are due by Monday, January 15 at 11:5pm. If you apply, make sure to let me know so I can approve your application. 

6.) Delegation of Distinction Lanyard, Sweatshirt, Drawstring Backpacks: You will recall that no new Delegation of Distinction Lanyards will be distributed this year. Please bring your badge lanyard that you were given at the first conference to this next conference. If you don't, you'll receive a plain blue lanyard instead. Also, remember to pack your delegation sweatshirt and the drawstring backpack you received at the first conference - these will not be redistributed either! 

7.) Annual Campaign Team Leaders: I am looking for a volunteer to head up our Sacramento Central Annual Campaign Team. The job entails reaching out to your fellow delegates and tracking participation in our annual campaign. Also, you'll be working with leaders from Eldo on setting coalition-wide goals. Our participation goal is set, however: 100% participation from every delegate family. Remember, every dollar counts, so even $1 counts as participation! The campaign will kick off at our January 10 meeting and run through February 15 at ML/C check-in.

8.) Don't Forget The Buddy Challenge At Conference: Here is a link to the list of buddy pairs/groups and our photo scavenger hunt challenge. Start now! Photos must be uploaded before the close of the Govenor's Banquet at Sac Conference! Good luck! Returners - it's your job to check in with your buddy to see how their year is going!
