Sac Central Delegation Bulletin #14: Jingle All the Way to 2019!

This coming week will be our last meeting before Winter Break! If you aren't going to attend, let me know ASAP!

1.) Payment Reminder: The fourth and final program payment for the year is due by this Friday, December 14. Please bring your payment to this week's meeting! Payments can be made online here (online payment instructions found here) or over the phone by calling the YMCA Front Desk at 916-452-9622 ext 0. Checks are payable to "Sacramento Central YMCA."

2.) Make Your Voice Heard in Sacramento!: This past November, the voters in Sacramento voted to extend and increase a special sales tax. Now, the City is putting together a committee to oversee how that money is spent. One member of the committee must be between the ages of 16 and 24 years old. No reason that can't be YOU! If you live in the City of Sacramento, apply today to represent your fellow Sacramentans on this important topic. For more info, check out this website. Applications are due by 5pm on January 9.

3.) Delegation Holiday Party and Gift Exchange, Wednesday, December 12: Our annual holiday party and gift exchange will be held on Wednesday, December 12 at our usual meeting spot.
  • Pizza will be provided
  • Please bring a side dish or dessert to share, pot-luck style
    • I am looking for a volunteer to bring beverages (water/soda/cups/ice). Please email me if you'd like to volunteer.
  • Decorating committee will meet at 5:45 to dress up the place
  • Party begins at 6:30

If you are not planning to attend the December 12 meeting or do not want to participate in the gift exchange, you must let me know ASAP. Gifts exchange rules are as follows:

  • Gifts must be less than $10 in value and can be homemade/funny/silly/etc (candy always works!).
  • Click here for a list of everyone's gift info.
  • You received a text earlier today with your Secret Santa assignment as selected by random number generator. If you didn't receive your assignment, let me know!

Parent Corner

- Sac Rack Donation Time! Each year, Y&G collects new or gently used professional attire for our "Sac Rack" event at the January Conference. We create a pop-up professional attire boutique at the Fresno Convention Center to help delegates prepare for the February Model Legislature & Court. All delegates are able to shop. Vouchers are provided for delegates who need them.

  • You can help by bringing donations to the YMCA between now and January 18. Here is a flyer you can share with your friends, coworkers, etc, to encourage them to donate as well!

- YMCA175- London If you haven't yet, please take a moment to complete this parent survey on an exciting possible opportunity for our delegates!

At the next meeting we'll . . .
